Who Apollon Wealth Management helps, and what each group usually needs

Apollon Wealth Management helps women in transition, pre-retirees and business owners who are weighing a succession or a sale, and this page shows what each group usually needs first. Clients come from anywhere in the country, and we meet by video and by phone.

Each group gets a short list of decisions in order of deadline, with the numbers in front of you before anything is changed. The client minimum is $500K in investable assets.

When life changes the plan overnight

Divorce, widowhood or a sudden job change rarely leaves time to study options. Apollon Wealth Management advisors start with the decisions that have dates attached: a beneficiary form, a retirement account split, a house payment, a deadline on a benefits letter.

Say a woman inherits half of a family company after her husband dies. Before she decides anything about the business, we list what must happen in the next 90 days and what can wait a year. Most of the list turns out to be paperwork, and the large choices come later.

If retirement is five to ten years away

Pre-retirees usually ask the same thing: can I stop, and what will it cost to do it in the order I picked? We put your Social Security age, account withdrawals and Medicare premiums on one page. Medicare Part B's standard premium is $202.90 per month in 2026, and higher income can raise it.

For a business owner, the retirement date and the sale date are often the same date. That makes the sale price the biggest number on the page, and also the least certain one. Returns are never certain, and investments can lose money, so we test the plan with a lower sale price too.

What owners weighing a sale or handoff need first

Your wealth sits in one company, so the first decision is usually timing, not investing. We work through the order of deadlines, and at each step Apollon Wealth Management estimates the tax cost before suggesting a move.

  • Business exit planning and business sale tax planning, when a buyer is likely within a few years
  • Family business succession and selling to your employees, when the next owner is already known
  • Buy-sell agreement funding and estate planning for owners, when a partner or heir needs protection
  • Cash balance plans, for owners who want larger tax-deferred contributions before a sale
  • Wealth after a business sale, when the proceeds arrive and need a home

What if you don't fit a group here?

You're still welcome if you have at least $500K in investable assets and a decision with a deadline. A physician selling a practice share or an executive with a large stock position would start the same way: one list, in date order.

We're honest when a plan is simple enough that you don't need us. If a single decision solves the problem, we'll say so.

Your questions about Apollon Wealth Management, answered

Do I need to be selling my company to become a client?

No. A sale or succession is the situation we write about most, but clients also come after a divorce, a death or ahead of retirement. You do need at least $500K in investable assets, and a decision with a real deadline helps.

Can a spouse who never ran the business meet with the advisor?

Yes. Spouses often join the video or phone meeting, and we explain each number in plain terms. If one of you handles the company and the other doesn't, we make sure both see the same one-page list of decisions.

How soon before a sale should an owner start planning?

Start two to three years before a likely sale if you can. Some tax and structure choices, such as a cash balance plan or a gift of shares, take time to set up. If a buyer is already at the table, we begin with the deadlines.
